The NC “Retainage” Reform Act

SEAA Members:

You are probably aware that our bill has passed the Senate. It has been assigned to the House Commerce Committee.

NOW is the time for you to get involved by contacting members of the Commerce Committee, especially the ones in your district.

We are attaching the list of committee members with contact information and a sheet of “talking points” for your use. Legislators pay much more attention to individuals than to paid lobbyists. Please take a few minutes to email, phone, or write members of the committee. I assure you it will be “time well spent”.

The Commerce Committee meets next Wednesday, June 27 th, at 1:00 pm in room #1228 of the Legislative Building. Please complete your contacts no later than Tuesday.
