Registration is now open for the 2026 Dave Schulz Memorial Golf Tournament. Returning to Lonnie Poole Golf Club at NC State University in Raleigh, North Carolina on October 16, the annual fundraiser brings together SEAA members, industry partners, and guests for a day of networking, friendly competition, and support for the association's safety, education, and craft training initiatives.

Since 2022, the tournament has raised more than $60,000 for grants and the development of training resources. In addition, recipients of SEAA's World Class Craft Training Excellence Award each receive a $1,500 grant to continue investing in craft training at their companies.
The tournament was renamed in 2021 in memory of former SEAA President Dave Schulz (2019-2020), who was instrumental in organizing the event for many years. As Vice President of Schulz Iron Works, Dave was a passionate advocate for safety and a dedicated supporter of the SEAA/NCCER Ironworker Craft Training Program. His commitment to education and workforce development continues through the tournament that bears his name.

"Dave's passion for safety and workforce development continues to inspire the work we do today," said Chris Legnon, President of SEAA. "The Dave Schulz Memorial Golf Tournament is more than a day on the course. It's an opportunity to reconnect with one another while investing in the programs that strengthen our workforce and support the future of our industry."

This year's tournament includes breakfast, a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start, lunch, awards, and opportunities to compete for team and individual prizes, including longest drive, closest to the pin, putting, and hole-in-one contests. Registration also includes greens fees, cart, driving range balls, meals, and beverages throughout the day. Companies looking to increase their visibility while supporting SEAA's mission can also choose from a variety of sponsorship opportunities.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive a day early for the Steel Connections Peer Group and Meet & Greet on October 15 at the Embassy Suites in Raleigh. The free networking event offers contractors, fabricators, erectors, suppliers, and other industry professionals an opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss business challenges, and build relationships before heading to the course the following morning.

Hotel reservations are available through SEAA's room block until September 22, subject to availability. Register today to reserve your spot on the course and support the future of the steel construction industry.
