SEAA Supports Women In Construction
The Steel Erectors Association of America will recognize SteelStrong Women in Construction during Women in Construction Week, March 1–7, 2026. This initiative highlights the contributions of women working in all facets of the steel erection industry.
SEAA is accepting nominations from both members and non-members. Any woman working in steel construction is eligible for recognition.
Deadline to submit is December 1, 2025.
Nomination Categories include:
- Trades (Welders, Ironworkers, Riggers, Rodbusters, Crane Operators, Technicians)
- Managers (Project Managers, Sales Managers, Lift Planners, Estimators, Safety Managers)
- Executives (Directors, Supervisors, VPs, Senior Level personnel)
- Owners
Nomination Criteria
- Professional Achievements/Projects: Detail her significant accomplishments, such as successful projects, innovative solutions, or leadership roles.
- Contributions to Team and/or Projects: Describe how her work has positively influenced the construction industry or her team.
- Leadership, Mentorship, Collaboration: Highlight her role in mentoring others, leading/contributing to teams effectively.
- Community Involvement: Include her contributions to community service or involvement in industry-related organizations.
- Personal Qualities: Emphasize qualities like creativity, initiative, and dedication that make her stand out.
2025 Women In Steel Construction
In support of the 2025 Women in Construction Week (March 2-8, 2025), the Steel Erectors Association of America recognized 17 women who were nominated by colleagues. In addition, seven were selected as “Legacy Builders".
