WHAT'S NEW FOR 2026 
For the first time, SEAA’s Project of the Year Award will feature a dedicated category for Reinforcing Steel projects. This addition ensures that rebar contractors are evaluated alongside their peers for similar types of work. Rebar projects can now be submitted under two contract value classes, up to $500,000 and over $500,000, covering a range of project types, including transportation, building structures, industrial and utility, and specialty work.

Additionally, a new awards application platform is being introduced to streamline and simplify the submission process.

Submissions for the Project of the Year Award are due December 15, 2025.
BROCHURE, REQUIREMENTS, & DOCUMENTATION CHECKLIST
  • Open to Union and Open-Shop Members.
  • Projects must have Topped Out in 2024 or 2025.
  • Class categories are based on the dollar value of the Structural Steel, Miscellaneous Metals, or Reinforcing Steel portion of the contract only.
  • Projects must meet the requirement of having been completed without significant accident or injury as defined on the form.
  • Preview documentation list online.
  • Deadline: December 15, 2025

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
The awards are open to industry members in good standing. Membership dues for 2026 must be paid in full by the submission deadline.

NOMINATION EVALUATION
Submissions are evaluated by an independent panel of judges.

Your credentials used for the main SEAA Portal will not work, you must create a new account on the new platform when first submitting for any of our 2025 awards. After you have made your account, you may use the same login if you wish to submit for another award.
