WHAT'S NEW FOR 2026
SEAA has expanded its Safety Excellence Award for 2026 to include a new category for Fabricators. The new program recognizes fabricator members who demonstrate outstanding safety performance and best practices. Like the Erector Safety Excellence Award, the new category employs a points-based system that evaluates EMR ratings, OSHA logs, citations, safety programs, and training initiatives.
Additionally, a new awards application platform is being introduced to streamline and simplify the submission process.
Submissions for the Safety and Craft Training Excellence Awards are due January 31, 2026.

The SEAA Erector and Fabricator Safety Excellence Awards and the SEAA Craft Training Recognition Awards honor companies that exemplify the highest standards in both safety and workforce development. The Safety Excellence Awards recognize steel erection and fabricator companies that go above and beyond to provide their employees with a safe place to work—demonstrating a proactive mindset and outperforming their peers in protecting employees. Meanwhile, the Craft Training Recognition Awards highlight companies dedicated to developing and training Ironworkers, playing a critical role in strengthening the trade at a time when skilled labor shortages are at an all-time high.
