SEAA Adds Job Board for Employers and Job Seekers
The Steel Erectors Association of America (SEAA) announces a new Job Board, available to members and non-members.

Job Board postings are free for SEAA members and open to non-members for a fee. Listings can also be upgraded to Featured Listings. Users can choose from 30, 60. or 90-day listings, and subscribe to receive alerts about new listings. More .
  Training Grant Awarded to the Ironworker Skills Institute  
The Steel Erectors Association of America announces that the Ironworker Skills Institute, Pell City, Ala., which educates future generations of ironworkers, will receive this year’s SEAA Craft Training Grant.

“With this grant, we can provide students with their own course materials, which can be a resource to them in the future,” said Patty Daigle, ISI director. “It will also allow us to incorporate new technology into our training program, which is growing and changing as we learn the needs of the high schools we work with.”   More.

Trivent Safety Consulting Earns U.S. DOL Approval of Ironworker Apprenticeship Program
Trivent Safety Consulting, Westminster, Colo., previously approved by the Steel Erectors Association of America as a SEAA/NCCER Ironworker Training Unit and Assessment Site, now also has a registered ironworker apprenticeship program.

The company utilized the SEAA Ironworker Apprenticeship program template, which meets the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment, and Training Administration guidelines for apprenticeship standards. More .
Safety Excellence and Craft Training Winners Receive Awards

Job site Utilizes Magni to Lift 11,000 lb. Steel Girders  
Last month, two Magni Rotating Telehandlers were used to assist in the construction of a Nucor pre-engineered steel structure. The two telehandlers were able to safely lift 11,000 lb. steel girders which proved to be a more cost-effective solution than using a crane to complete the project. Magni’s Rotating Telehandlers have a maximum lifting capacity of 17,600 lbs. and a maximum lifting height of 81 ft.   More.
AISC Provides Remote Assessments  
AISC has suspended all in-person site audits and has started to provide remote assessments through Zoom as of May 4th. AISC will contact companies directly to schedule a remote assessment if an audit was previously scheduled between March 17th to May 1st. An extension certificate will be given to those who have certificates that will expire before a remote assessment can be scheduled. More .

Our members include both small contractors (under $3 million revenue annually) and large contractors (over $10 million revenue annually). SEAA is a national organization with members in more than 40 US States and 3 Canadian Provinces.
